BJP KDD delegation calls on Simrandeep Singh

JAMMU, Feb 24: A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir Displaced District (KDD)met Secretary, Disaster Management and Relief and Rehabilitation, Simrandeep Singh here, today and submitted a memorandum to him highlighting the problems of displaced Pandits.
The delegation was led by president, KDD, BJP Chand Ji Bhat and it was accompanied by its general secretaries, H K Razdan and Sanjay Bhat. The delegation highlighted the plight of left out candidates for recruitment under PM Package from 2010 and onward. These candidates have been deprived of employment for last over 10 years and they are moving from pillar to post for justice, it added.
The delegation strongly advocated for issuing appointment orders in their favour under PM package.
The delegation also discussed the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna and its implementation for displaced Pandits. It said the scheme has not been fully implemented on the displaced Pandits yet. The hapless community members putting up in various camps including Jagti township , migrant camps of Nagrota, Muthi , Buta Nagar and Purkhoo and others in non camp areas in rented accommodations have been deprived of the benefit. It demanded immediate implementation of scheme on the migrants. Simrandeeep Singh informed the delegation that the process in this regard has been already started in Jagti township and simultaneously it will be started in other places also.
The issue of voter I D cards was also highlighted by the delegation in favour of displaced Pandits. It said the machine for facilitation of printing of voter ID cards at Shanker building Toph Sherkhani is non functional with the result the displaced people are not being issued these cards which may effect their participation in next elections. It further said that the electoral rolls of some districts are not also available with Relief Organisation which may be made available. It demanded posting of additional staff in Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner’s (RRC) office and the website in the office needs to be updated, the delegation added.
It demanded installation of Western toilets in quarters at Purkhoo for old and infirm people and open gym in the camp.
