11th standard student develops Android Utility

Srinagar, May 24: An 11th standard student developed, Android Utility, “Droid Explorer” which is a free, full-featured, tabbed file and application manager. The utility software has been published by the Google Play and can be used as simple file explorer, advanced root explorer or an application manager.
Asif Wani, 17, a tech whiz who is not just passionate to spend time with his gizmos and gadgets but is also inclined to develop software that can be used in day to day life. He is not only just a tech-buff but a topper in his academics as well.
“Though, there are already many file explorers but I have made advanced one with my added applications in it and the unique one is that there is no dual tabbed android file manager on Google store and I have made one. There may be many dual tabbed file managers but not android file manager,” Wani said.
Through this application, one can easily manage the files like through desktop or laptop using Multiple Select, Bookmark and other operations can be performed on local files through the Android device or remotely via computer. The software also provides access to the entire file system and all data directories, open files with the default handler, send files via email, Bluetooth and many other useful functions. Wani is presently studying Non- Medical and Computer Sciences in Bhagat Barzulla. He is working on the utility software to add more features to it but as a future plan he aspires to work for Google as a software developer/ entrepreneur.
