JAMMU, May 24: The Government of India today ordered empanelment of 49 officers of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) as Joint Secretaries. They belonged to 1994 batch.
The officers empanelled included Navin Kumar Choudhary, an IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre, presently posted as Principal Secretary to Governor NN Vohra and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).
Choudhary had earlier served as Vice Chairman of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and Special Secretary of Tourism Department besides Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, Leh and Baramulla and Additional DC Jammu.
He had also worked as National Director in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance for four years during which he successfully negotiated various finance schemes for ERA.
He had served for three years as Advisor to Executive Director of International Monitory Fund (IMF), Washington.
