REASI, Feb 27: Katra police today arrested a drug peddler along with 4 gram of heroin like substance (Chitta).
According to a police official, during routine checking of vehicles at PCP Nomain, officials of police station Katra stopped a Nano car bearing Registration Number JK02AQ-2156 and during frisking, recovered 4 grams of (Chitta) heroin like substance from the possession of one person namely Varinder Singh son of Amreek Singh, resident of Gadigarh, near Airport Road, Jammu.
“In this regard, a case FIR Number 37/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at police station Katra and further investigation started,” he said, adding, the recovery was made under the supervision of Inspector Sunil Sharma, SHO police station Katra, Kuljit Singh SDPO Katra and under over all supervision of Amit Bhasin (SP Katra).
