Various functions held on culmination of Magh Mass

JAMMU, Feb 27: The holy month of Magh Mass concluded with organization of religious functions at various Ashrams on the occasion of Magh Purnima also known as Kaav Purnima today.
In this connection a Maha Yagya was held in Swami Kumar Ji Geeta Satsangh Ashram, Muthi today. The hawan started yesterday and it culminated with Puranahuti today which was followed by serving of prashad to devotees. A large number of devotees attended the function and Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta also graced the occasion.
During the month of Magh Mass religious discourses were given by Swami Kumar Ji daily who threw light on significance of holy Magh month and Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta. In his religious discourses today Swami Ji dwelt at length on the significance of Kaav Purnima.
The religious discourses were also given by Santosh Ji Naddan a mystic poetess she also recited bhajans.
In connection with Kaav Purnima another function was organized today here, today in which Bindraban Sher a Hindi scholar threw light on the significance of the day. He said the day is considered very auspicious on account of being the month of Magh and also Kaav Purnima. Kashmiri Pandits have given a great importance to a crow on this day and the special dishes called Khetsiur is to be offered to the birds represented by a crow.
He said the offering is made on innovative tool called Kaav Potul. After Pooja the Khetsiur is offered to the crow with devotion from the times immemorial, he added.
The month -long celebrations also concluded at Bhagavaan Gopinath Ji Ashram, Udaywala Bohri with Push Archana today. During the celebrations all SOPs of COVID Pandemic were observed by the devotees. During the month -long functions recitation of Guru Geeta, Magh Mala, Panchastavi and Shiv Mahimnapaar were the main highlights. Large number of devotees thronged the ashram daily to participate in the functions.
