JAMMU, Feb 27: Former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today conducted an extensive tour of Deeli Brahmana, Ward No-55 of Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment as part of public outreach programme.
During his visit to the area the locals raised many issues pertaining to development of the locality which include internal roads, lanes and drains, water supply, power infrastructure and many others.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that BJP Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed for all round development of all the hamlets of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and a comprehensive plan is in offing. He said that the Government is giving due focus to develop all those areas which have been neglected by the previous regimes.
He assured the people of the area to put up all their demands before the concerned agencies for early redressal. He further assured the inhabitants of the area that no stone will be left unturned to resolve their issues.
He also distributed passbook to various beneficiaries under Jan Dhan Yojana scheme organized by J&K Bank where accounts are opened at zero balance.
Jan Dhan Yojana scheme of Modi Government is a financial inclusion program of the Government of India open to Indian citizens that aim to expand affordable access to financial services such as bank accounts remittances, credit, insurance, pensions, etc. The locals expressed their gratitude to the former MLC for visiting and listening to their demands. They also extended full support to the BJP.
