New IYC leader takes out road show in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Feb 28: Iftkhar Ahmed who has been recently appointed as National spokesperson Indian Youth Congress took out a massive road show and was given warm reception by Congress, Youth Congress and NSUI workers on his maiden visit to his home town Rajouri after being appointed to the National position.
After reaching Sunderbani he was accorded grand reception and then at Nowshera and Rajouri during his visit to the home town. A large number of NSUI, Youth Congress, Sewa Dal and Congress party workers gathered at Dalogra from where rally of vehicles and motorcycles was organised to welcome Iftkhar Ahmed.
He was profusely garlanded and mounted on an open decorated vehicle. The youth were shouting party slogans and also slogans in his praise and the party leaders. The reception rally passed through Muradpur , Salani Bridge, Mandi Chowk and finally culminated at Press Club, Rajouri.
Speaking on this occasion Iftkhar Ahmed extended gratitude to the Sonia Gandhi, president AICC, Rahul Gandhi, Krishna Aluvera, Joint Secy AICC incharge IYC, Srinivas B V , National president Indian Youth Congress, GA Mir president JKPCC and Neeraj Kundan president NSUI for posing faith on him and appoint a person from non- political background to National position. He assured the leadership that he will work hard and devote full time and energy and leave no stone unturned to strengthen the Congress Party at grass root level.
Mushtaq Ahmed district president Sewa Dal and Councillor while addressing the gathering congratulated Iftkhar and lauded his role as youth icon . He further said that it is the vision of Rahul Gandhi that a person from border belt of Rajouri is at national level office bearer. He lauded contribution of Iftkhar Ahmed to NSUI and Youth Congress earlier as Election Commissioner NSUI and National Co-ordinator IYC. He further appealed youth and students to expose anti- people policies of BJP Govt.
Iftkhar Ali Dar, senior Congress leader and Councillor congratulated Iftkhar Ahmed for his achievements on behalf of DCC Rajouri. He further said that Congress Party will stand with Youth Congress and NSUI and extend full support. He further said that Iftkhar Ahmed is the role model of youth and students. He lambasted BJP Govt for their anti- youth and anti-farmer polices.
Abrar Choudhary, president DYC Rajouri recalled his association with NSUI and Youth Congress and said that these organisations are nursery for Congress Party. He thanked national leadership who provided platform to youth leader from this remote area.
