UDHAMPUR, Feb 28: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police patrolling party of Police Station Udhampur today apprehended three drug peddlers and recovered 7.5 grams of contraband substance heroin from their possession.
Police team, led by SHO Insp Chanchal Singh, under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Sargun Shukla and Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur while patrolling near Thard area, Udhampur, caught three suspected persons. During search, 7.5 grams of heroin like substance alongwith cash of worth Rs 12000/- and 01 Electronic weighing machine was recovered from the narcotic smuggler, identified Hamid Ali son of Chattu of Bali, Thard, Udhampur, his brother Mohd Younis and Mohd. Tariq, son of Fateh Ali of Mansar.
Besides arresting all the three accused persons, Police seized the recovered heroin and cash and a case FIR NO. 90/2021 U/S 8/21/22/27A/29 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Udhampur.
