Councillor Ward 41 convenes public darbar

JAMMU, Feb 28: A meeting of development and welfare committee of Ward Number 41 was convened today in Wazir Lane, Bohri, Jammu.
The meeting chaired by Sanjay Baru (Councillor Ward 41) was attended by more than 75 prominent residents of Wazir Lane, Shanti Vihar, Friends Colony, Green Enclave, Priyadarshani lane and adjoining areas.
They had an interactive session with Councillor, who apprised them about the outcome of e-Janta Darbars convened by Sushma Chauhan Deputy Commissioner Jammu in the recent past.
He informed the participants that various developmental projects/demands were discussed and put up during the e-Public Darbars such as establishment of Sub-District Hospital in Poonch House, Talab Tillo, construction of community hall, installation/repair of street lights and other related issues such as holding of police public meet, augmentation of water supply and improvement in power supply scenario in Talab Tillo area.
Mohan Lal Mahajan, chairman of the committee Sanjay Baru for giving a patient hearing to the participants and fulfillment of various public demands in a stipulated time frame.
Sanjay Baru told committee members that with the personal intervention of DC Jammu various development issues including blacktopping of Kamla Palace road, transfer of 4 kanals of state land for establishment of new Police Station at Gole Gujral and sanction of drainage project for Hazuri Bagh Colony from Dewan Beverages to Pouni Chak at an estimated cost of Rs 5 crores have been resolved.
