7-day Intl FDP concludes at GDC Darhal

RAJOURI, Feb 28: A 7-day International Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the theme “Empowering Teacher Education and Technology” concluded today at Government Degree College (GDC) Darhal.
The programme was organized by GDC Darhal in collaboration with Cape Comorin Trust India. Concluding the programme, Principal of the College Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia said that the Department of Higher Education under the visionary leadership of Commissioner Secretary Talat Parvez Rohella is providing equal opportunity to all the colleges of Union Territory of J&K for their better academic growth and development by making available all the latest technologies related with teaching, learning and skill development.
He told that the International Faculty Development Programme was a grand success as highly informative talks by renowned resource persons and then threadbare discussions were able to sensitize the participants regarding the use of technology in their teaching for making it more effective.
Earlier, organizing secretary of FDP, Dr Ather Aziz Raina read out the report of 7-day programme. He told that total number of 106 participants from India and other parts of the world attended the FDP. He also gave detail of the different topics on which the resource persons provided their valuable inputs.
He particularly mentioned about Dr Alakdhar from MSA University Egypt, Dr Malini from University Sains Malaysia, Dr Candy D’ Cunha from Loyala Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andhra Pradesh, Dr Arya from NCERT, Dr Iram from Ramanujan College, Delhi University, Dr Ajay Kumar from Loyala Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andhra Pradesh, Prof Ramakanta from Regional Institute of Education Bhubhneshwar, Prasuna Loyala Institute of Engineering and Technology, Andhra Pradesh, and Sourabh Shastri from Jammu University.
