Large number of devotees throng Sidhi Vinayak temple

JAMMU, Mar 25: Large number of devotees thronged the Sidhi Vinayak temple at Nanak Vihar Lower Muthi near here on the occasion of Varshik Maha Yagya today where a replica of the temple of Mahaganesh Shrine of Hanand Chawalgam of Kashmir Valley was constructed by the Mahaganesh Charitable Foundation.
The Maha Yagya started on Ganesh Chutardashi yesterday and it concluded with Puran Ahuti on the auspicious day of Puranmashi today. The devotees were served with Prashad after Puranahuti.
The religious scholars from Rishikesh Vedic University besides Vedic scholars from Kashmir performed the Maha Yagya.
The Foundation led by Jagar Nath Sharma its chairman and Prof O N Kaul its secretary had  made elaborate arrangements for the devotees.
Prof Kaul said that a multipurpose community hall will be constructed by the Foundation in near future.  Besides, the Foundation is working in social and educational field.  He said free coaching centres are run by the Foundation for the students and children are also given the scholarships for their excellent performance in the examinations.
Prof Kaul said that Foundation also provides the financial assistance to people suffering from chronic diseases and also helps needy families in performing marriage ceremonies of their daughters.
