Border area development top priority of Modi Govt : Vibodh

RAJOURI, Mar 1: BJP State general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today visited Gambir Muglan area of Rajouri and listened the day to day problems being faced by the people.
Vibodh was accompanied by Mohammad Arif, Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Rajouri and Bharat Bhushan Vaid, vice chairman, Municipal Committee Rajouri. Vibodh took stock of various ongoing developmental works.
While giving details about the massive development initiatives of the Central Government, Vibodh said that at present all the border areas of the country are getting a special focus of the Government. Holistic and equitable development of the border areas is the top priority of the Government. He informed that today the poor and marginalised people are feeling secure because of schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Housing for all.
Vibodh also spoke about the Rs 28,000 cr industrial package announced by the Central Government for J&K and called upon the local youth to use this opportunity for setting up their own industrial units in the area.
Vibodh also took on parties like Congress, PDP and NC who have always used these people as their vote bank. He said that these parties have always enjoyed power for their own welfare and have never bothered for the poor and marginalised. He gave the example of recent DDC elections wherein these parties participated in the elections when same parties have boycotted the Panchayat elections.
Vibodh asked the people to understand the fact that these parties never like that a poor person from weaker sections of society should get power after being elected as Panchayat members. While referring to each and every issue raised by locals, Vibodh said that he will ensure early redressal of these by regular follow up with the concerned officials.
In his address Mohd Arif, Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Rajouri spoke about the Jal Jeevan Mission launched by PM Modi wherein every household of the country will be provided drinking water through pipes. This will be a great help to the women folk of borders who have to walk long distances to fetch drinking water. Bharat Bhushan Vaid, Vice Chairman of Municipal Committee Rajouri also addressed the gathering.
