Hardcore criminal involved in double murder case arrested

JAMMU, Mar 2: Bahu Fort Police arrested a hardcore criminal, who was evading his arrest from the past 11 years in the infamous Narwal Mandi double murder case.
As per police sources, hardcore criminal identified as Ajeet Singh, son of Sarwan Singh of Chatha Farm, Satwari District Jammu wanted in the infamous Narwal Mandi double murder case registered in the year 2010 with Police Station Bahu Fort was hiding somewhere in Nepal.
Information was developed regarding his presence in Nepal and his movement was being tracked since long. The moment he reached Jammu, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort arrested him.
Ajeet Singh has been arrested in a case registered under FIR Number 24/2010 under Sections 302, 147, 148, 149, 120-B and 201 RPC with Police Station Bahu Fort.
Apart from this FIR, 9 more cases under different sections stands registered against this hardcore criminal at Satwari and Domana Police Stations.
Ajeet Singh is a history sheeter and his arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC was issued by Principal Sessions Judge Jammu on April 24, 2010.
Further investigation into the cases registered against the arrested accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar, SP South Jammu Deepak Digra and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
