Army’s anti-tank mine missing

JAMMU, May 25: An anti-tank mine of the Army has been missing from near the Line of Control (LoC) at village Kambla Morha, close to Roti Post in Lam area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district.
Army has lodged a FIR with the police.
“We have lodged a FIR. We will find out where the explosive materials including detonators etc fitted in the mine have gone. The area had been dug,’’ SSP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi said.
A FIR No. 111 under Section 379 RPC and 4/5 Explosive Act has been registered at Nowshera police station.
Sources said the mine had been fitted near the house of Sakhi Mohammad in the mine field. In fact, it was Sakhi Mohammad, who spotted the land dug in the area. Army personnel found the anti tank mine missing and lodged report with the police.
Police said some suspects were being quizzed to trace the missing mine.
