JAMMU, Mar 2: Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta today inaugurated a toilet complex at Government Girls High School Bhour Camp.
Mahant Manjeet Singh of Nangali Dera Sahib, Prof. Youdhvir Singh, Councilor Ward 73, Executive Engineer Div-IV, Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Junior Engineer, Manjot Singh, Chief Education Officer Jammu, Vijay Sharma, Rtd. SDM, S. Charanjeet Singh, Balbir Singh, Principal of the School along with staff and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor said toilet was the long pending demands of the School management which has been fulfilled today with an estimated cost of Rs. 10.50 lakh.
He said that the complex will be constructed by an NGO ‘Kashmir Institute of Research and Education’ under Swachh Bharat Mission having separate toilet facilities for males and females.
After this, the Mayor along with Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma inaugurated the construction work of raft at basement of multitier parking on municipal land in Panjtirthi.
Sunil Thusu Joint Commissioner (Works), Anil Kumar Gupta, XEn (Project Division), Raj Kumar Khajuria, Assistant Executive Engineer, Mohit Gupta, Junior Engineer along with other supervisory staff of project division JMC as well as General & Project Managers of M/s Vishal Associates who have been allotted the work of multitier parking and prominent locals of Panjtirthi were also remained present on the occasion.
The Mayor said that it multitier parking is a vital project of JMC on which the Deputy Mayor has taken a keen interest keeping in view the demands of general public and now the project will be completed by March 2022.
He said that the parking complex will have two basements, one ground floor & four floors with capacity of about 260 four wheelers and 136 two wheelers and after its completion, the inhabitants of city will heave a sigh of relief from frequent traffic jams.
Deputy Mayor also spoke on the occasion and appealed to the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC and other allied departments in all the development activities being undertaken in the city.
