Yatri Bhawan at Hanuman temple awaits construction since 8 yrs

MENDHAR, Mar 3: Yatri Bhawan at Hanuman Mandir in Mendhar for which the foundation stone was laid by ex- Chief Minister and president National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah on June 15, 2013 in presence of NC provincial president and former MLA Devender Singh Rana and former MLA Mendhar Javed Rana, is still awaiting the commencement of its construction work.
The work on this Yatri Bhavan was approved by the local former MLA Javed Rana who availed the opportunity of getting the foundation stone laid by the party chief Dr Farooq Abdullah but in the absence of further activity, the foundation stone of the Bhawn remained as a show piece only. People of the area have treated it as a joke with the devotees.
This Hanuman Temple being an eminent historical place, is visited by a large number of devotees and there is no space for organising functions, this Yatri Bhavan was said to be the necessity of the visitors.
Members of Hanuman Mandir Committee and Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Davinder Kumar Tandon, Balaram Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Satish Chandra Sharma, Ketan Verma, Rajat Kapoor and others said that Dr Farooq Abdullah and other leaders of National Conference in presence of former MLA Javed Rana had visited the Yatri Bhawan. They laid foundation stone and then forgot after befooling miniority community of the area.
“Eight years have passed, foundation stone has remained a stone showpiece. At that time Javed Rana was the MLA of Mendhar who had promised with the Hindu community that you will be given a Yatri Bhawan here but it could not be built till date.
