JAMMU, Mar 3: Chinore Police arrested two persons for carrying out construction work illegally in water channels (Gair Mumkin Khad) in Gurha Brahmana and Lower Thathar areas.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged by Tehsildar North regarding encroachment and illegal construction being carried out in water channels (Gair Mumkin Khads) in Gurha Brahmana and Lower Thather areas with Police Station Domana.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 67/2021 under Section 447 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Chinore Inspector Deepak Bharti under the guidance of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma raided the spots and arrested two persons, who were carrying out illegal construction work. Police team also seized instruments used for carrying out illegal construction.
The investigation is in preliminary stage and in coming days names of land grabbers are going to surface out who are indulged in sale and purchase of Gair Mumkin Khads illegally.
The arrest and seizure were made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
