Drug peddlers arrested with 45 gms heroin

JAMMU, Mar 5: Nagrota Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 45 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK13D-5570.
During checking, police team recovered 45 grams heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sohail Ahmad Rather, son of Mushtaq Ahmad and Towheed Ahmad Bhatt, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhatt, both residents of District Pulwama.
A case under FIR Number 93/2021 under Section 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
