Army organizes ‘Basic Yoga’ course for school children

Students during 6-day long ‘Basic Yoga’ course organized by Army at Mahore.

MAHORE, May 26: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in collaboration with Azra Yusuf Sheikh, an expert in Meditation and Stress Alleviation, conducted a six day long ‘Basic Yoga’ course for the young school children of Mahore at Sarh.
The workshop, organized under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force and started on May 20 concluded here today.
During the six day long course, Azra, a native of Gujarat having an expertise in ‘Meditation, Stress Alleviation, Yoga and Religious Harmony’ utilized her experience in teaching the art to young school students of Mahore.
About 75 students belonging to Government Middle School Sarh and Snow Storm Public School Jamlan reaped the benefits of the course, wherein they were taught the basic techniques of meditation.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that the workshops delivered to young students would go a long way to improve the lifestyle of local population. She expressed her gratitude to the Army authorities for providing her the opportunity to come to the State and share her knowledge with the young minds.
