SRINAGAR, Mar 7: Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said that the party is committed to welfare of people and since its inception, the party has been working to ameliorate the sufferings of people.
“Apni Party is the party of the people. The party doors are open to all without any discrimination based on community, religion, region or class. We believe it is by uniting the different sections of our society that we can build a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Bukhari was speaking during a function at party office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, where prominent Panchayat members and political activists from Handwara constituency of district Kupwara joined Apni Party.
The new entrants who joined Apni Party include contesting DDC candidate Abdul Ahad Shah, Alideen Khatana (Sarpanch Bobernag), Abdul Ahad Bhat (Deputy Sarpanch Bobernag), Abdul Gaffar Malik (Ward Member), Sanaullah Chopan (Ward Member), Ghulam Mohammad Mir (Ward Member), Fayaz Ahmad Peer (Ward Member), Abdul Ahad Shah (Ward Member), Shabir Ahmad Shah and scores of political activists from Handwara.
The joining took place in presence of provincial president Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, State secretary and district president Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, media advisor Farooq Andrabi, district president Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, district president Kupwara Raja Manzoor, vice president district Kupwara Abdul Rasheed Bhat, DDC Member Srinagar Shabir Reshi and Incharge Ganderbal Javid Mir.
On the occasion, the new entrants vowed to strengthen the party at grass root level.
