JAMMU, Mar 9: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PHDCCI) Jammu today organized a webinar to discuss and understand the issues and challenges faced by the women champions from administration, police and business community.
Naveen Seth, assistant secretary general, in his opening remarks highlighted the importance and significance of women in every person’s life while Rahul Sahai, Chairman PHDCCI Jammu sought to bring parity between the two genders.
Babila Rakwal, Vice Chairperson Jammu Development Authority (JDA), in her address said, “As has been said that behind a successful men there is a women, I would say that behind a successful women there is always a men”.
Sargun Shukla SSP Udhampur said that a single day webinar or an event will not be enough to discuss the women as in police they are dealing with women specific issues everyday whereas Sunaina Mehta, Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes Enforcement, Jammu, shared her story of successful life from a border village of Jammu where she had spend her childhood in conflict of cross border firing.
Subah Mehta, General Manager DIC Jammu said that the respect from men is really an inspiration and support for women, and lastly it is the education only that will bring great change in women. PD Nitya SP City North, Jammu said that the working of women itself is challenging because she has to counter and compete with male counterpart back home who doesn`t have any family or children responsibility.
Ruchika Gupta, Director -Model Institute of Engineering and Technology-Jammu said that women need to empower themselves and not to seek empowerment while as Naina Kukreja, Director – Mystique Eve, shared her view about the enterprise she has made the Mystique Eve and advised all young ladies, homemakers to believe in themselves and follow their dreams.
Sakshi Khullar, Founder – Sakshi Khullar Art Studio shared how she has been supported by her father, her husband and how she pursued her dream and passion for Art and painting work as self direct artist. Madeena Mir, Director CNS Infotel Services Private Limited also shared her experiences of life.
The webinar concluded with formal vote of thanks presented by Kuldeep Gupta, Co-Chairman PHDCCI Jammu.
