Diploma Enggs hold meet

JAMMU, May 27: All Jammu and Kashmir Diploma Engineers Association today reiterated its resolve that not even a single diploma engineer would retire as JE and most of them would reach up to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer.
This was stated by president of Diploma Engineers Association, R S Jasrotia, while addressing a meeting of the cadre at REW Complex Talab Tillo here today. He apprised the members about the eleven years long drawn struggle the association had to fight in Civil Secretariat to get the demands of the cadre conceded by the Government. He insisted the members to participate in the coming elections of the association which are likely to be announced shortly.
Vice president of the association V K Trikha apprised the meeting that cadre strength has achieved to the maximum as entry level grade has been restored. General secretary Jugal Kishore while expressing anguish over recent developments stressed on the members to be united and participate in the election with full force to mitigate the evil designs of some lobbies which are hell bent to push the cadre backwards. President of REWE wing of association, Parshotam Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
Others present in the meeting were Sunil Sharma, Harvinder Singh, Ishpal Singh, Vimal Tikoo, Nirmal Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Sarabjeet Singh, Kulbir Singh, Romesh Verma etc.
