JAMMU, May 27: Jammu University Research Scholars Executive Association (JURSEA) has requested the Vice-Chancellor, JU to initiate action against the Director Business School for promoting favoritism and nepotism by ignoring the students of the offsite campus in recently held campus placement.
The campus placement was held under the supervision of Director Business School Professor Versha Mehta, Dean Placement Professor BC Sharma and Convenor Business School Placement Cell Professor Alka Sharma.
In a meeting of JURSEA, held under the chairmanship of Rakesh Chib, president of the Association, the participants demanded that the Vice-Chancellor should initiate action against the corrupt officers and Professors.

The JURSEA president made an appeal to the Vice Chancellor for conducting an inquiry into the game plan and warned that the scholars and students will launch agitation if necessary action was not taken in this regard.
Among those who were present in the meeting included Varinder Kumar, Akshey Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Narinder Singh, Neeha, Nainder Singh, Sunny, Pawan Kumar, Vinod and others.
Meanwhile, Dean Placement in JU, Prof B C Sharma has said that the university was following a uniform placement process for the Main Campus as well as for the offsite campuses wherein all students were allowed to participate irrespective of their campus affiliation. However in certain cases, the companies have MoU with the University and as per terms and conditions, only the main campus students are eligible to be part of the placement process, he clarified.
