JAMMU, May 27: A meeting of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers’ Federation (JKLTF) was held here today under the chairmanship of State president, Bhushan S Verma and convener of the Federation, Maheshwar Parsad, to discuss the demands of the teaching fraternity.
The meeting expressed concern over the pick and choose a policy adopted by the department in the adjustment of promoted lecturers and headmasters and demanded to adjust all the promoted Lecturers and Headmasters in the same list and from the same date.
The speakers also expressed concern over non-payment of the salary of teachers and masters working under SSA and lecturers posted on the plan postings since 2013 and demanded the authorities to release the salary of all such teachers, masters and lecturers forthwith to remove the difficulties of the families of such employees.
The Federation also requested the authorities to adjust newly promoted masters in their parent districts and keep soft corners for the promoted ladies in all the cader of teachers.
