UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Udhampur, Col (Retd) Sukhbir Singh Assla, along with his team, organized a meeting with Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris at Ramnagar tehsil.
Col Assla interacted with Veer Naris and Ex-servicemen. He apprised them about various welfare schemes and concessions for them. He also apprised them about grant of dual family pension from military as well as civil employment, refund of outstanding Army Group Insurance, medical benefit scheme subscription, endorsement of family pension in respect of living pensioners, submission of non marriage certificate to the DPDO by family pensioners and financial assistance to non-pensioner Ex-servicemen/widow for treatment of serious diseases.
He also educated Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris about PM Scholarship scheme, reservation for Ex-servicemen in Govt jobs, daughter marriage grant etc and assured every possible help from Sainik Welfare Board.
