Kashyap land only way forward: KPC

NEW DELHI, Mar 14: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC ) while discussing about plight and problems of displaced community in a meeting here, today stated that the only viable and acceptable solution for rehabilitation of homeless Kashmiri Pandits in exile is its one place settlement in the land of Kashyap in Kashmir valley. “This will not only satiate their aspirations but their long pending demand will also get fulfilled”.
The meeting stated that the main purpose of such resolution was to end the Islamist crusades against the Hindus of Kashmir, when both the Indian and J&K Governments, ignored and isolated them and have acted irresponsibly and callously towards the KP microscopic minorities of the erstwhile State of J&K. This community being nationalists to the core has been pushed to wall after being hounded out from the Valley. The exodus of this peace loving community was one of the biggest human rights violation, it added.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC addressing the meeting stated that the resolution of one place settlement at the land of Kashyap was adopted by the extremely terrorized and exiled Kashmiri Pandits , as a response to the criminal and genocidal behavior of the intolerant forces and power hungry politicians. This hostile behaviour of the inimical majority and others through seven centuries had produced seven exoduses and imposed upon the targeted ethnic minorities a life of avoidable homelessness, misery and poverty. In view of what this ethnic community of Kashmiri Pandits have gone through during the course of the past 70 years particularly after 1989 are strongly demanding “one place settlement in the land of Kashyap.
Justifying the demand he said it is not an ordinary issue which could quietly be ignored or swept under the rug for which Kashmiri Pandits in exile and their organisations like KPC and others are struggling from the last three decades to save victim KPs from the centuries old persecution by the radical and communal forces.
KPC has again strongly resolved and decided not to compromise on the said resolution of one place settlement of displaced KPs at the land of Kashyap in the Valley as resolved earlier.
