UDHAMPUR, May 28: One person was killed and 30 others got injured when a passenger bus rolled down into a deep gorge at Lalli, near Mongri in Udhampur.
The ill-fated bus, bearing registration number JK02E-6547, was on its way from Udhampur to Khor Gali.
The injured were rushed to PHC Mongri where nine of them were referred to District Hospital Udhampur in view of their serious condition. One of the injured, identified as Omkar Singh son of Surjoo of Damnote Panchari, succumbed to his injuries on way to Udhampur hospital.
The injured shifted to Udhampur District Hospital , included two- year old Samriti, daughter of Balbir Singh of Ratnour, her mother Sima Kumari, Rakesh son of Suraj Ram of Katra, Nek Ram son of Kaka Ram, Lal Singh son of Sita Ram, Sandur Singh son of Dayan Singh, Shanker Singh son of Lambardar Lali, Shatru Singh and Dhani Davi wife of Puran.
