JAMMU, Mar 15: Jammu Joint Students’ Federation (JJSF) today constituted its unit for Government Degree College RS Pura and nominated Harjot Singh as the College President for boys and Tahira for girls.
Sourav Sharma was nominated as Vice-President, Aman Sharma, Abhjot Singh and Akash Verma as General Secretaries, Sarabjeet Singh, Gagandeep Singh and Abhinav Sharma as Secretaries, Baranwal Singh and Daljeet Singh as Co-ordinators.
The unit was constituted during a well attended meeting of students at the college, held under the leadership of Advocate Pushvinder Singh, President JJSF, JKUT, who was accompanied by Rakesh Khajuria – General Secretary, J&K Wrestling Association and Sunil Chauhan – Provincial President, JJSF.
Addressing the students, Advocate Pushvinder Singh said that JJSF is the only non-political student organization which is working on ground for the welfare and upliftment of student community of Jammu region. He said that it has become the trend of the successive Governments to ignore the Dogras of Jammu in every sphere whether it is in education, in employment, in development, in tourism sector or in any other field. He said that JJSF led many agitations successfully and will continue to raise voice of students concerning their issues.
He said that re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir had brought lots of expectations for student community and youth of Jammu but unfortunately the Jammuites are getting same step motherly treatment like during previous successive Governments. He said that JJSF will fight tooth and nail to get due share in jobs for youth of Jammu.
