UDHAMPUR, Mar 15: On the 13th death anniversary of former MLA and BJP leader Lala Shiv Charan, a program was organized by Lala Shiv Charan Samiti, here today to pay tributes to him.
Many prominent local BJP leaders participated in the function and paid floral tribute to Lala Shiv Charan while remembering the works done by him.
On this occasion, former MLA and Lala Shiv Charan’s son Pawan Gupta threw light on the achievements of the late leader and paid homage to him. He said that the late BJP leader was not only a good leader but also a noble soul who always helped the poor and downtrodden.
He informed that in the remembrance of Lala ji, a grand event will be organized on coming Sunday in which people from rural areas will also be invited. A big langer will be organized on the occasion to remember contributions of Lala ji, he added.
Senior BJP leader Raj Kumar Buchha said that today Lala Shiv Charan ji is not among them but still BJP leaders of the district are following his foot prints. He said that such type of leader will never be born in Udhampur. He recalled many development works done during late MLA’s regime.
He said that Lalji was the pride of Udhampur. Bucha said that Lala ji had also very good relations leaders of other political parties.
The program was attended by DDC Chairman Lal Chand, BDC Chairman Balwan Singh and many BJP leaders.
