JAMMU, Mar 17: A programme was organised by Talab Tillo Mandal publicity secretary, Sahil Koul, wherein BJP J&K All Morcha in charge Munish Sharma distributed over 250 Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) Sehat Cards among the residents of Ward 40 Jammu West Assembly constituency. He was accompanied by Keshav Chopra, Talab Tillo Mandal president, Sat Pal Karlupia, corporator Ward No 32, Kali Charan, icharge Police Post Talab Tillo Chowk, Vinod Wazir, general secretary, Talab Tillo Mandal and several others including local residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Munish Sharma acclaimed the efforts of State Executive Member of social media BJP, Sahil Koul for providing assistance to the general public, by setting up health registration camps so that no eligible person remains deprived of the Ayushman Yojana.
After distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards, Munish Sharma interacted with the local beneficiaries of the PM-JAY Sehat scheme. During the course of interaction beneficiaries complimented Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for starting this scheme and said that people will not be pushed into the vicious cycle of poverty and debt because of out-of-pocket spending on treatment.
Munish Sharma, while complimenting the PM said Jammu-Kashmir has never been given as much attention as it is given today. J&K is the first State/Union territory (UT) where this scheme is available for every citizen, he added. It is a result of the Prime Minister’s special attachment and love for the people of J&K. In the rest of the country, Ayushman Bharat PMJAY is available only for the poor, he added.
State Executive member of social media Sumit Malhotra Binny, Ravinder Khajuria, Krishanu were also present on the occasion.
