DHS begins training doctors at RIHFW for ER protocols

Srinagar, Mar 17: As a part of strengthening the Emergency Rooms (ER) across Kashmir hospitals, the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) has notified a list of trainers, and participants who are the nodal officers of their respective ER Rooms for a 4-day orientation-cum-training programme which started today at Regional Institute of Health & Family Welfare (RIHFW), Dhobhiwan Tangmarg.
Officials said that it is a part of the Comprehensive ER Program that was started by the DHS. In the first phase, a comprehensive ER Committee was formed after that all the 10 districts were asked to provide the nodal officers for DHs, SDHs and CHCs where there are functional ERs.
“The nodal officers that were provided are going to be the in charges of ERs in the districts,” officials said.
Apart from the trainers, a list of 37 participants-who are the nodal officers of the ER rooms and the members of the Zonal Committees-from 4 districts have also been notified and have joined the training program.
“As a part of the phase-1 of the training, it is going to be the orientation-cum-training of these nodal officers from 4 districts as well as the members of Zonal committees for 4 days. All the aspects will be covered during the training,” officials said.
Further, they said that apart from the training, a common WhatsApp group has also been created which includes the members of the ER committee.
“They will report each and everything in that group.The Director will be personally monitoring” that the officials said.
