Theft case worked out in 24 hrs, accused arrested

JAMMU, Mar 17: Nowabad Police worked out a theft case within 24 hours with the arrest of the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a priest with Police Station Nowabad stating that some unknown person(s) entered into the Shiv Temple and decamped with gold nose pin and necklace of Rs 26,000.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 53/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Nowabad led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia after hectic efforts arrested the thief, who was identified as Faizan Ahmed Dar, a resident of District Baramulla.
On his disclosure, the stolen gold ornament and necklace were recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
