Srinagar, Mar 17: The employees of Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) today staged a protest alleging that the corporation was denying them their earned retirement benefits for last more than a decade now.
Several such individuals gathered at Press Enclave here and staged a protest against the JKTDC, which they said, has been making them run from pillar to post for what is rightfully theirs.
“The JKTDC is not taking us seriously for what we are demanding; all we are demanding is the release of benefits which we are entitled to as the same is lying pending with the Corporation for last 14 years now,” the retired employees said.
They said that 300 such employees have been denied their hard-earned benefits by the Corporation while several of them have died in these years.
“We have been left with no option, but to appeal the LG to personally look into the matter and get it resolved as it is lingering for a year now,” they said.
