Himalayan Heli replaces Global Vectra

SRINAGAR, May 29: M/s Himalayan Heli Services Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded the contract for providing helicopter service to Shri Amarnathji pilgrims on Baltal-Panjtarni route in place of M/s Global Vectra Helicorp. Ltd.
Giving details, the Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Navin K. Choudhary disclosed that originally M/s Summit Aviation Pvt. Ltd. and M/s Global Vectra Helicorp. Ltd. were awarded the contract for operating helicopter services on Baltal-Panjtarni route while M/s Pawan Hans was awarded contract for operating helicopter service on Pahalgam-Panjtarni route. However, due to operational difficulties and reported withdrawal of security clearance by DGCA, M/s Global Vectra Helicorp. Ltd. expressed its inability to operate the helicopter service for the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra. Accordingly, the next lowest bidder i.e. M/s Himalayan Heli Services Pvt. Ltd. was offered and they have agreed to operate helicopter service on the same terms and conditions.
The one way fare for Baltal-Panjtarni route will continue to be the same i.e. Rs. 1445 as being charged by the other Operator M/s Summit Aviation Pvt.. Ltd.
The CEO also disclosed that on-line booking on the website of M/s Himalayan Heli Services Pvt. Ltd. will commence on 31st May, 2012 at 9.00 A.M. The on-line booking by M/s Summit Aviation Pvt. Ltd. and M/s Pawan Hans has already commenced since 7th May, 2012 as originally announced.
