Thief held with stolen money, mobile phone

MENDHAR, May 30: The police has arrested a youth for stealing  purse of a lady patient containing Rs 22,000 cash and a mobile phone from Dental section of Sub District Hospital here.
The accused has been identified as 19-year-old Muneer Hussain, son of Rahim Shah, resident of  Gohlad in Mendhar. A lady patient, Gazala Bashir, wife of Basharat Hussain, resident of Sakhi Maidan had gone to Mendhar Hospital for the treatment of  her teeth on Tuesday. She was being attended  by the staff of the Dental section at the long treatment chair and she had kept her purse at the corner in the room.
As she was freed by the doctor after treatment, the woman found her purse missing. She lodged an FIR with the police. Mendhar police registered a case and started investigation. On the basis of a clue, the police arrested the accused late last evening  and recovered stolen cash  and a mobile phone of the lady from his possession.  The cash and mobile phone was handed over to the woman by police in presence of  SDPO, Mendhar today.
