India Travel Mart concludes with overwhelming response

JAMMU, Mar 21: India’s leading B2B Travel & Tourism showcase and conclave concluded today at Jammu.
The first two days of the showcase and conclave were reserved for the travel trade after which it was open for all.
A special networking session for Travel Agents, Tour Operators from PAN India, and tourism officials from Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, India Tourism, Gujarat Tourism and Tamil Nadu Tourism on the second day of the showcase and conclave was held.
Top travel agents, tour operators were hosted from the major markets of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Agra, Rajasthan to attend the showcase and conclave thereby helping participants to reach out to these proximity markets too.
Mementos and awards were presented to India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (Supporting State), Jammu & Kashmir Tourism (Supporting State), Gujarat Tourism (Partner State), Tamil Nadu Tourism (Feature State) and other participants including hoteliers, resorts, travel agents, tour operators.
While India Tourism got best stall award for promoting tourism PAN India, Jammu & Kashmir Tourism won best stall award for display of tourism information and decorative stall, Gujarat Tourism got best stall award for domestic tourism promotion and display, and Tamil Nadu Tourism won best stall award for promoting culture, heritage, wildlife and cuisines.
Ajay Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, ICM Group, said, “Participation at India Travel Mart is an opportunity to showcase the tourism destinations, vibrant culture, unique products in Jammu. We hope to benefit in a big way from this platform for reaching out to the travel industry and tourists”.
