SRINAGAR, May 30: Budgam police apprehended three burglars and recovered stolen goods worth lakhs of rupees, thereby solving two burglary cases that occurred in Chadoora area.
SDPO Charar-e-Sharief, Dr. Shailendra Mishra said that recently some cases of burglaries were reported in Chadoora. The burglars had adopted a modus operandi of shop breaking in wee hours and decamped with goods like mobile phones, edible oils, spices, cable wires etc. Case FIR’s No. 68/2013 and 75/2013 u/s 457,380 RPC were registered in these instances of burglaries.
He said a special team was constituted under the supervision of SHO Chadoora, Inspector Manzoor Ahmed for the investigation.
Some leads were developed in the investigation, zeroing in on three suspects, who were later arrested. During their questioning the team recovered edible oil and spices worth about Rs 15 lakh, mobile phones worth about Rs 5 lakh and other materials like cable wires etc worth about Rs 1.5 lakh.
