Bahu Fort Dev Committee’s concern over traffic jams

JAMMU, May 30: Bahu Fort Development Committee took a serious note of the traffic jam at Shri Mata Maha Kalli Shrine, Bahu Fort especially on every Sunday & Tuesday. In this connection the Committee called an emergent meeting to discuss the issue.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rajeev Charak, President Bahu Fort Development Committee. While addressing the meeting Mr Charak said that jam has been seen every time especially on every Sunday, Tuesday & Navratra Days. It affects the local people of this area badly particularly the ill & sick people are the main victims of this problem. They could not reach the hospital and doctors well in time. The people have to halt hours in the jam as the visitors of Bagh-e-Bahu and Maha Kalli Shrine Park their vehicles on both sides on the road resulting in jam.
He said in case of any mis-hap in the area, no rescue team or Ambulance could reach there. It is the total failure of District Administration as well as State Government who close their eyes deliberately. He said the committee is going to meet the Governor shortly in this regard.
Ishant Gupta Spokesman BFDC said that there is not sufficient parking facility for the growing visitors of Shri Mata Maha Kalli Shrine as well as Bagh-e- Bahu. So the Administration must take firm Steps to wide the parking area by vacating the land from the owner of Shivam Appu. He said that many solutions are there to solve the problem but it depends upon the Administration of Jammu District and State Government.
