RAJOURI, Mar 23: One person was electrocuted while two others including his father were injured when a live cable of the Power Development Department fell down in Manjakote area of Rajouri district this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 6.30 pm at Gambhir Muglan in Manjakote. Mohd Rafiq and his sons Mohd Hanief and another youth Mohd Fareed, son of Misri Khan, residents of Gambhir Muglan were returning to their homes in the evening.
When they reached near their village, they were trapped after a live cable from a pole was broken and fell down on them. All the three were rushed to Manjakote hospital from where Hanief (24) and his father Rafiq were referred to GMC Rajouri. Hanief succumbed to injuries after some time at Rajouri. The police registered a case and started investigation.
