ADC imposes fine on 5 trading units for violating FSSA

KISHTWAR, Mar 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar imposed a fine of Rs 116000 on 5 Food Business Operators (FBOs) for not following the prescribed norms under Food Safety and Standard Act (FSSA).
A team of officials headed by Food Safety Officer Rajni Bhagat under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Shabir Ahmed Faridy inspected various outlets in the Block Kishtwar, Paddar and Dachhan of district Kishtwar wherein they found substandard services and misbranded consumables being provided to the people. Consequently, the FBOs were booked and summoned before the ADC, who is also the adjucating officer and imposed fine in five misbrand/substandard cases to different FBOs under various sections of FSSA.
