JAMMU, Mar 23: A man allegedly tried to end his life by jumping into river Chenab in Akhnoor today.
As per police sources, a man namely Anupam Raina, son of Bushan Lal of Purkhoo Camp allegedly tried to end his life by jumping into river Chenab in Akhnoor.
However, locals and police team rescued and shifted him to Sub District Hospital (SDH) for treatment.
A case under FIR Number 77/2021 under Section 309 IPC has been registered against the man and investigation started.
