JAMMU, May 29: Army today arrested a Pakistani national at forward village of Chakla in Akhnoor sector this morning as soon as he crossed over to this side from across the border.
The Pakistani, who was aged between 28 to 32 years, disclosed his identity as Syed Asif Ali Shah son of Syed Wajid Ali Shah, a resident of Multan, Pakistan.
No incriminating material including arms or explosives were recovered from his possession.
Army have handed over the Pakistani national to police for questioning and ascertain reasons for his intrusion to this side.
Official sources, however, said the intrusion appeared to be inadvertent.
