JAMMU, Mar 24: Nowabad Police arrested two persons including a drugs supplier along with 835 grams cannabis.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nowabad led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia laid a naka at Puran Nagar Chowk in Bhagwati Nagar and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 25 grams cannabis from his possession and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Parvesh Kumar, son of Ram Singh, a resident of Puran Nagar.
During sustained questioning, the accused disclosed the name of the supplier as Amar Singh alias Rinku, son of Tarsem Lal of Puran Nagar.
Police team again swung into action and arrested the drugs supplier. 810 grams cannabis was recovered from the possession of the supplier.
A case under FIR Number 59/21 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Jammu Swati Sharma.
