Samba police arrests bike lifter

SAMBA, Mar 25: District police Samba has arrested a bike lifter and recovered a stolen bike from his possession in a theft case registered at Police Station (PS), Samba.
Police said on March 21, a written complaint was lodged at PS Samba by one Surinder Singh Son of Gandharb Singh of W.No. 11 Samba, regarding theft of his motorcycle (Platina) bearing registration number, JK02AM-5641 from W.No. 08, Adarsh Colony, Samba. A case FIR No. 91/2021 U/S 379 IPC was registered at PS Samba in this regard and investigation started to nab the bike lifter.
During the course of investigation, a police team of PS Samba headed by SHO, Inspector, Sudhir Sadotra under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Samba, Tilak Raj Bhardwaj rounded up several suspects for preliminary enquiry. During sustained interrogation, one Vishal Choudhary alias Binnet, S/o Sham Lal of Karalian, Ramgarh broke down and confessed his involvement in lifting of the bike from Adarsh Colony, Samba.
The accused person has been arrested and on his disclosure the stolen bike was recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on.
