JAMMU, Mar 27: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan has appealed to his party leaders belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category to devote time for the welfare and betterment of their community while undertaking routine political and social activities in the public.
The SC leaders should act as a bridge between the Government and the SC community by educating them about various welfare schemes launched by Narendra Modi Government during the last over six years and help them in availing the benefits of the same, Balbir added.
Balbir Ram Rattan said this during a meeting with BJP SC Morcha Vice President Krishan Kumar Digra, Morcha Secretary Umesh Gabbar, Treasurer Hans Raj Loria, Morcha District President Manohar Lal Menia and BJP District Secretary Vivek Patyal.
Balbir told these leaders that numerous schemes have been launched with an objective of socio-economic upliftment of the poor families belonging to all sections of the society, including SCs and other categories. Many schemes are exclusively for SCs and the community need to be made aware of them.
Krishan Kumar Digra assured to work for the community and identify the people who should be helped in getting the benefits of government schemes.
