SAMBA, June 1: The workers of Bharat Box Factory SIDCO Phase Ist, Samba today took out a protest rally from the factory complex to Deputy Commissioner’s Office against the non payment of wages to them by the management for last three months.
The protestors were raising slogans demanding immediate payment of wages and warned to boycott work in case the wages were not released within days.
To defuse the situation the Labour Officer Samba and management of the factory also reached the DC Office and assured the agitating workers that their wages will be paid by June 7 and 9 respectively.
On this assurance the workers dispersed.
