Bishnah constituency neglected in terms of development: Charak

JAMMU, June 2: Former Minister and Member, CWC-AICC, Gulchain Singh Charak, today said that Bishnah constituency has been neglected for so many years in terms of development, adding, there is no proper and planned development in the constituency.
He was addressing a meeting of Block Congress Committee, here today at Arnia as a special invitee. Charak appreciated the work done by the Congress workers in the area. He further said that he is proud of Congress workers who have created a new atmosphere in the area by taking up the burning issues of the people living in this border belt of the Constituency.
He appealed the people to come forward and strengthen the hands of UPA president Sonia Gandhi and vice- president, Rahul Gandhi, to realize the dream of equitable development of all the three regions of the State.
Earlier, party workers apprised Charak of various problems being faced by the people of the area regarding irrigation, electricity and agriculture.
Ther main demands included adequate advanced storage of seed, fertilizer and pesticides, so that farmers may not suffer, proper irrigation facilities, uninterrupted power supply, immediate repair of roads, early completion of work on road connecting Jakh with Arnia, early establishment of proposed college in the Block, revision of all BPL lists and settlement of old age and widow pension cases, preparation of master plan for beautification of Bishnah and Arnia towns and proper drainage and sewerage system.
