3 missing women traced out, accused arrested in hit & run case

KATHUA, Apr 4: Lakhanpur Police traced out 3 missing women and also solved a hit and run case.
As per police sources, Lakhanpur Police traced out 3 women, who were missing from the past three years.
The missing ladies, who were traced out were identified as Ranjit Kour, Reena Devi and Radha Devi.
By the hard efforts of PSI Mohammad Yousuf and ASI Pardeep Kumar of Police Station Lakhanpur and their teams under the supervision of SHO Lakhanpur Inspector Sumit Sharma, the missing ladies were traced out and handed over to their legal heirs.
Meanwhile, Lakhanpur Police also worked out a hit and run case within 24 hours with the arrest of accused.
Sources informed that a case under FIR Number 49/2021 under Sections 279 and 337 IPC was registered yesterday at Police Station Lakhanpur after two persons were injured in motorcycle and Mahindra load carrier collision. The driver along with load carrier escaped from the spot.
During the course of investigation, PSI Swarn Singh Manhas along with his team of Police Station Lakhanpur under the supervision of SHO Lakhanpur Inspector Sumit Sharma put hard efforts and arrested the accused driver of the load carrier, who was identified as Bodh Raj, son of Chuni Lal of Mehtabpur, District Kathua. His vehicle bearing registration number JK21B-0386 was also seized.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
