JAMMU, Apr 5: Kanachak police have claimed to have solved kidnapping case of a minor girl within 24 hours.
According to a police spokesperson, a written complaint was lodged on April 2 at police station Kanachak by a man that his minor daughter has gone missing from their residence at Gurha Singhu. He said accordingly, a case FIR number 45/2021 U/S 363 IPC got registered at police station Kanachak and investigation was started.
To solve the case, special teams of police station Kanachak under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul were constituted. The team led by SHO police station Kanachak Inspector Vishav Partap Singh connected various leads and after hectic efforts and with the assistance of technical aids finally recovered the kidnapped minor girl from Assar (Doda).
The spokesperson said the girl was recovered from the possession of accused Balram son of Radhay Lal, resident of Chattisgarh, who was presently residing at Gurha Singhu. “The accused was arrested and the girl was handed over to the family after completing all legal formalities,” he said, adding, further investigation of the case is going on.
