Srinagar, Apr 6: Police today solved a burglary case and arrested an accused person involved in the commission of the crime in Sopore area.
A police spokesperson said that Police Station Sopore received a burglary complaint and accordingly case FIR No. 329/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation initiated.
“During the investigation, it was learnt by the investigating team that a habitual burglar namely Shabir Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh resident of Model Town Sopore is involved in the crime. Subsequently, he was arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody,” police said, adding that on his disclosure, the stolen property has also been recovered.
Police claimed that the accused person is a habitual offender and is involved in burglary cases in other districts also.
